I'd like to remove the oil pump and go to premix so what I'm after is a detailed description of what to do as I do not want to miss anything.

There's probably hundreds of posts about oil pump removal and it doesn't really matter what model you've got as they're all pretty much the same. Do a search though the previous posts.
