Oil pumps and radiators.

1. Can you open the oil pump bleed screw at idle or will it actually suck air in?
1a. What does the oil pump solenoid do? (The bit with wires coming out of it on the front of the oil pump)
2. If you fill the radiator from the filler cap do you need to loosen anything else off to remove air bubbles or will the engine driven water pump do the job?
3. How hot does the cooling system have to get before it starts to overflow into the expansion bottle?
4. Oh, and does anyone know a good way to get rid of the green staining on the inside of the expansion bottle so you can actually see the fluid level again?

Thanks
Richard

hey man I am also wondering about the radiator problem, I cant seem to get the fluid in the overflow tank to go back to the system, it says on the manual that you have to open the cap while refill... see if this helps you going. I checked solenoid on the wikipedia and it mentioned a few stuff, from my reading it’s to control the flow of the oil by a magnetic operated needle.
