its a stock 250cc with 300cc top end bore kit, with jetting and modiefed stock exhuast
they didnt dyno tune it cause there dyno was broken,
they said not to go over 5k rpm in first hour of riding and i didnt, i just put 500kms on the new engine and now im starting to slowly try give it more but this is wat happens when i do..
open throttle in mid revs, = deep throaty sound and power loss,
rev to 6-8k rpm = power stops and engine splutters, exhuast blow more smoke, wont rev higher than 7.5k rpm, unless i very sloly apply small amounts of throttle, but still near to no power increase,
bike starts up mint and runs fine until around 5k rpm,
themechanics said they went froma 110 jet to a 150 or 160, and the i checked the airbox it has been drilled,
I agree with James, sounds way too rich. _________________ 1995 A kit TZ 250

With a moded air box and race pipes my '18 was running somewhere in the 180's towards the end. I've still got a funny twitch though when I type about 300's mind. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...

Should've bought Stephen's R4J-F3 swingarm after all!
I will have a stock R5K arm available some time (once I fit the MotoBum F3 arm to the MC18), and maybe a spare R4J-F3 arm too if I ever get round to getting my RS arm modified to fit the MC16. _________________ Andy.

The MotoBum uses an underslung RS type caliper or stock one, and the MC21 uses an RS caliper, but the "normal" MC16 and MC18 F3 arms use stock calipers and carriers. _________________ Andy.
