Oh I see. I thought you guys were looking for NSR250 ideas. As far as mine goes I like my carb. One of the reasons I went with my little 50 was simplicity; not looking for needless complexity. Some company over here does make a complete EFI system that retrofits Monkeys for EFI.
So far my little chainsaw is still basically stock but I have plans. As things break I upgrade and I am saving up for more goodies. For now it has the following;
Kitako high comp one ring piston
polished the chamber and piston crown
Posh CDI
Kitako carbon fiber reeds
pod filter and rejetted carb
Posh backstep plates
Kitako digital water temp meter
Future plans include a full brake system upgrade and I do mean complete, not one single OEM part will be left except likely the rear master cylinder. I prefer to save the details for a future writeup but I already have my Braking wave rotors.
I am also waiting for a set of base gaskets I ordered to see if another goofy idea I had will work. If it does actually work I will do a writeup on that as well.
If I am going to be here I want to be an asset

Those mini-bikes are just soooo trick! Best I can manage is Er Indoors on the YSR...
I'm after an NSR80 at some point though, for sure. There was one up for sale locally recently, but the timing was just all wrong. Besides, my Dad would just love another unfinished bike on his driveway... not!! _________________ Andy.

wow. That paragraph went in at least four different directions from start to finish.
My wife loves my little bike. She wishes I would get crackin on rebuilding the cruiser though. She wants to ride with and you can't ride two-up on bike that weighs less than I do.
I just got back from the store picking up new skins for the lil guy. The old tire are bald and well, old. TT92GT Dunlops should keep me stuck nicely.

Like marshmellow treats, 50's are fun and girls like them too. YSR was hauling my 245lb carcus to 65mph and melting the electrode clean off. picked up a derbi with the 80cc kit / slicks and some shiney bits and bobbles. All in an attempt to find a suitable plateform for my CR500 motor. I suppose I fancy rideing a chainsaw, which leads me to the thought --- Why didn't they ever develop a single piston , litre 2-stroke motor I say, sell it now, get married have kids or resign yourself to a life filled with grease under your finger nails and toothy/bugs in the teeth/ 2-stroke grins. Speaking of that , does anyone know if the 28 rotors can be used on the 21
A single cylinder litre two stroke would vibrate so badly you couldnt hold the bars. The TZ 750 was a death trap for most except for Kenny Roberts that is.
A CR500 in a mini ? CR125 maybe.. _________________ 1996 MC28 SE
