thankyou Laughing and the shop got me me the wrong colour first (blue) so i had to stand there arguing over coloured chains my dad looked embarassed because everyone was pointing the finger of shame at us for having a red chain Laughing

And they were correct to do so, the rider of that race bike with the red chain clearly was doing it for a dare or possibly a bet.

Or maybe because he got given it....

A lot of race bike use colored chains. Yoshimura Suzuki, Kawasaki MotoGP and such. Doesn't look horrible in my opinion, I like it. But for me, I'll go gold DID erv3.

The chain on my roadbike is a Tsubaki O-ring thing Apex fitted to the other bike an age ago. Cost about £80

The chain on my racebike is a £15 quid split link Ebay thing, Cost about £15, gets replaced every season.

They both work, neither are colour coded Wink

Gold links on the inner AND outer plates... It's a racing chain. It's floppy, like a non o-ring chain.
