Can't recall anyone mentioning it before. Why do you want to? _________________ MC21SP Plaything

Maybe I mis-understood then. What's a fuel cell? _________________ MC21SP Plaything

It's a bladder for fuel that weighs next to nothing. Used with a dummy tank or plastic/ kevlar tank outer (no tank). Advantages are: reduced weight, lower centre of gravity and stops the force of fuel rushing foreward under race conditions.
Oh. I thought that's what you meant, but not sure anyone would go to all that expense an an NSR...
Good luck if you do, and post up the pics! _________________ MC21SP Plaything

I'm building a smaller aluminium tank that'll go under a fibreglass shroud.
Done a rough mockup already, am currently working on a pattern to cut the aluminium to... _________________ The Chopster
Yes, something I have long thought about too. It could work in a similar way to the NC30/NC35 tanks/covers.
Given the shortage of good fuel tanks (in this country, anway!) a smaller alloy tank and a GRP or carbon cover would be a great idea. Good for different bodykits too. _________________ Andy.

Got the idea off Andrew Grahams Aprilia RS250.
Along with the grafted on TZ250 electrics, carbs and seperate aluminium ram air boxes,
handmade custom racepipes, Ohlins shock and Ohlins kitted TZ forks, hyperpro damper
(If they had that worship smilie on this forum I'd use it)
he had an aluminium fuel tank. It sat behind the carbs, and under the seat, to centralise mass.
Used the TZ fuel pump to get the fuel to the carbs. All that was under the shroud was empty space... _________________ The Chopster
