I don't think it was until about '94 or '95 that they could get reliable and predictable performance out of the carbon brakes, which is why they ran one of each.

I think it was the carbon wear rate in 1992 that warranted a cast iron disk.

Great pics. Does the book have many images of NSR's from the non factory or satellite teams?

Ultimately, I would like to put some aftermarket fairings on my bike and give it a nice paint job. I just didn't want to do one of the common ones (even if they are nice). I know there have been a few threads on this, but many of the images get removed after a while and the links are no longer valid.

Searching the net usually only gives the factory team bikes like the ones you have posted above.

Cheers guys

Don't think I've seen a pic of an NSR in HB colours on the forum.....

Ralph's 1994 HB colours are still one of my favourites. My '21 was down to be painted in those colours until Doohan's Repsol was unveiled.

How about this?

What you want is this...

Some other cool retro designs from the NSR Style Book include 1986~87 Moriwaki, 1987 Rheos, 1987~88 Lucky Strike, and 1988 Camel.

1992 Marlboro looks great too.

Don't ask me to scan the pages... there's no way I'm breaking the spine of a £40+ book to scan it! Very Happy

Don't know if you have all seen this site before, but some good pictures of race bikes, including some uncovered. -> http://www.europark.com/machines/ny-rmlst.htm

My favourites are the Marlboro bikes, probably like the Biaggi 500 the best.

Now that's what I'm talking about. That Cabin NSR looks great. If I had an MC18, that's how I'd want it to look.

I appreciate the comment about the book though. What is it's title and ISBN?

Honda should have done the 1990 MC21 SP in that Cabin paint scheme Cool

Talking about Doohan Repsol colours, this must be in the running for best Repsol Rep.....

That looks great. Looks like it's probably got F3 electronics, and has an RS tank. Fairing is Silhouette I believe. Pipes look like modified Dog Fight.

Where did you get the images? Any more about the bike?

The RGV boys won't like that Laughing I've always liked the Lucky Strike colours.

I got the Repsol pics from a book called the NSR Bible, its all in Japanese but has some great pics. I'll put the ebay link in the classifieds.

If you don't want to spend £50.00 Shocked , I've scanned all the pages covering the Repsol Rep, and managed not to trash the book's spine in the process Very Happy
