First off, it's always best to replace the chain and sprockets together. Worn sprockets can seriously reduce the lifespan of a new chain.
I don't know the spec of the NSR150SP chain, but I doubt it's anything out of the ordinary. Do you know the chain size? You should be able to buy a pattern chain from most manufacturers... anything from a £10 budget non-O-ring to a £50 gold X-ring, and anything in between. It will just need shortening to the required number of links, which any bike shop should be able to do for you if you don't have a chain splitter.
For example, I use an £18 non-O-ring 520 chain on my MC21. I buy one 112 links long, and then shorten it to the required size (currently 107 links I think) to work with whatever gearing I choose to run. I tend to replace my chain twice a year, or swap chains when I change gearing, so they don't get too much use, but some choose to run £50~60 chains as they may be fitted for a year or more -- each to their own. _________________ Andy.

Can someone also advise me as to the tools and procedure for changing the chain? Is it better to get it done professionally, considering the labor fees? I am aware that a C tool is required however, I do not have one myself.
chain and sprockets on a normal double sided swingarm, I have done before, but not on the pro-arm.
I prefer to use a rivet link, a clip link is no problems, I can't see the SP generating too much power I can't remember which way the clip has to be mounted though.
If you're reasonably competent with tools that I would suggest you have a go yourself, grab a bike mate friend that can help you, otherwise take it to the shop.
You would need:
Grinder + chain breaker
rear stand
any other specialist tools
allen keys
pliers and general tools
I'd probably have expected the chain on the 150 to be slightly smaller than 520, but I can't remember to be honest.
I use a split (spring) link on my MC21 with no issues. It's not changed a lot, but it would be a pain in the ass to have to rivet a new link each time it was changed. A 150SP certainly isn't going to stress a 520 chain/split-link if that is indeed the size required, and a split-linkmakes the job a hell of a lot simpler and quicker.
A Pro-Arm can only make the job of replacing a chain even easier in my opinion. _________________ Andy.
