No, it won't. The NC30 and MC28 both have larger diameter swingarm pivots, so the MC21 frame will need to be reamed out for it to fit.
You should then be able to fit it using MC28 spacers etc. The MC21 and MC28 shocks are the same, so it won't be too much of a job after the frame is modified (unlike converting the MC18 to Pro-Arm... big job, before anyone asks!!).
Just out of interest, why do you want to swap the lighter, stiffer Gull-Arm for the heavier Pro-Arm? And why would you swap the MC21's 17" wheel for a heavier NC30 18" wheel, or do you have an MC28/RS250 wheel?
OK, cheers..I'll come clean...I race an NC30, and have a road one in several boxes which I wish to rebuild slightly different....the main difference being the MC21 swinger, wheel, etc...So from what you're saying the '21 swinger should fit into the '30 frame with the addition of suitable spacers ?
Do you know how similar the linkages etc. are ?
Now, would I be right in guessing you are looking for an RCV style look with the Gull-Arm on an NC30? TYGA Performance bodywork too, by any chance?!
Well, given the similarities between the MC28 Pro-Arm mounting/shock/linkages and the Gull-Arm setup, and the similarities of the NC30 and MC28 Pro-Arms, I would say that it's not going to be too difficult fitting a Gull-Arm to an NC30 (or NC35), but understand this is pure speculation on my part! I think a couple of spacers on the pivot, or a custom pivot and new bearings, should see the swing-arm in place.
Running a 17" rear wheel will call for alteration of the geometry, so offer up all 3 sets of linkages and go for the setup closest (but taller than) the NC as I believe the NC range is too low to start with!
Shame you're not in the SW, I'd help you with it just for the hell of it! (Luke F. and I discussed it with Matt & Paul of TYGA Performance about 2 years ago while we were convincing them it would be a good idea to make an NC30 exhaust system!)
One thing you need to look closely at will be the routing of the exhaust. As with the NSR's, the Pro-Arm exhaust is tighter to the swing-arm than the Gull-Arm version, so bear that in mind.
Many thanks Andy.....yeah, the RC211V tail will probably make an appearance, already have the Suzuka upper, then a nice high level twin-stack exhaust should complete the picture......Any idea what kinda money the swinger ,wheel, linkages etc. go for ? Are there any recommended breakers or just a case of shopping around ??
I guess one day I'll have to overcome my fear of siezure and get a nice two smoke....
