Took my mc21se for the first real ride out today. what a lovely ride well happy with it.
Two things have emerged from the ride.
1st: clutch has a bit of a slip to it. What can i do to fix? would uprated springs be enough to sort it out if so where from?
Shame i could'nt open it up all through the revs.

2nd would love to be able to raise the rear up 5-15mm to make a bit more comfortable (i'm quite tall) would save having to drop the front down as well for handling. can you get anything to raise up rear at all?

Whip the clutch plates out and clean the fibre ones up with some fine emery or wet and dry paper. Make sure the metal plates are all clean and oil free. That might fix it.

Uprated springs are hard to find now, I've got somea took out of a wet clutch engine in mine that a bit longer/stiffer, I'm not sure if they're stock or what.

I would personally be more inclined to clean the metal plates up with emery cloth than try and do anything to the fibre plates to be honest.

Cheers guys i'll give that a go then. I agree with Andy sounds like a better idea to clean metal plates up not the fibre ones. sounds like a easy fix.May spray brake cleaner on fibre plates to clean up.

Also can you buy single 2.9mm clutch metal plates to do upgrade for dry clutch listed on here? If yes where from? May as well upgrade whilst in bits.

Got chance to clean up the clutch plates today. Just used brake & clutch cleaner to get all the grime off the plates. Put it back together and torqued up spring bolts and casing bolts. Worked a treat took for 30 mile ride and no slip at all. Cheers for the advice about a clean up, saved me money and gave perfect results.
