Paignton bike night on wednesdays evenings

Tue Jun 17, 2008 7:50 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

i'm going to paignton (devon) bike night to represent the two stroke clan is anyone else up for it.

it's every wednesday probably about 7 or 8 ish, i'll find out about it tomorrow from the mechanic next door who goes.

i'll probably go after work next week, if there are any stink wheels out there that want to go.

i'll be the bloke on a standard 94 MC21 R wearing a red carnation and an aria crafar rep and black/red veggie leather suit (don't ask). if it rains, i'll be at home, i'm dead lame as i don't ride in the wet (don't ask).

hope to see some class acts, if not know i'll be holding up the honour.

thanks

I made the effort to fire the Cup Noodle up today, and run the soft cloth over it! I can probably tootle along for an hour (longer if you go earlier), but I have no lights, so will want to be leaving by 9pm.

Oh no, Paignton, that's not a cheap place for me to visit Wink

And the fuel money is not the problem!

I usually drag you to far more expensive destinations Fontyyy! Very Happy

Gonna risk it for a biscuit?! (Well, ice cream on the seafront anyway!)

Yeah, but you're expensive nights out tend to be good, my afternoons in Paignton tend to just be expensive.

As for the bike night thing not tonight.

However I do fancy doing a decent run on the '28. Went to Rockingham on it on Sunday to see some 400 greybike chaps. Not far but still 140 mile round journey, most of it on boring straight roads. That's 2/3rds of the way to yours from mine so it's not really an issue.

Did a 100 "spirited" miles today and all was fine except it was way too rich (on October jetting!), so I may whip the carbs off tomorrow and go down a few sizes and then tootle along for an hour or so on Wednesday.

i stand corrected

Wed Jun 25, 2008 7:26 am » Post: #12 » Download Post

well that is strange,

when i looked last night it was overcast and raining. that's good news as i'll go by bike today and pop over tonight as planned and just hope i don't get caught out in a freak shower as i have minimal protection over the pgm unit if it rains.

thanks

well the weather was good and i think i did a good job of representing one of honda's finest.

saw some pretty special machines and sweet rc45 being a real treat as i've never seen one before the flesh.

On my return, i had a group of blokes crowding the sar, waxing lyrical about increasingly rare Japanese machinery that handles as well as it looks.

Ashamedly I did my best not to dispel the myths and legends surrounding it, even the mildly proposterous 100bhp you can tune them too.

but i've got to admit standing looking at bikes, when i could be going out for a blast means it'll be a while before i go back and collect my Best In Show.
