i dropped the forks off with gareth at reactive today and he says may not be able to do nitrate coating because one of the legs has slight pitting on it he can do the internals which is good but is going to clean forks up and see if will be able to coat them and let me know i just thought i would let peaple know in case anyone else was thinking of having it done _________________ ive seen more tarts than mr kipling
I remember coating on forks was being talked about a week or so ago and I was thinking of having mine done because of pitting. I guess that's not going to solve my problem then.
The coating is purely a "low friction" application. The surface of the underlying stanchions must still be a excellent condition before they are plated.
Re-chroming is the only solution for pitted/corroded fork stanchions. _________________ Andy.

the forks need to be like new which is understandable but fingers crossed mine may be able to be done as there was very little pitting but will let everyone know the outcome _________________ ive seen more tarts than mr kipling
