Do not purchase a fairing set from the company on Ebay.

I purchased a set for my MC21 and they are not correct. They lead me along until the Ebay and Paypal dispute time had expired.

but not the dispute time with my credit card company so still may have some hope at a resolution.

I emailed them before placing and order and I let them know I have a MC21. Well the shipped a MC28 upper cowl (no biggie I can make it work) and the sent a MC21 tail piece with no mounts for the glove box or tail light assembly and a glove box door that is not the correct size or shape to filt the tail assembly.

Don't get me started on the Chinese bodywork... I've been trying to dissuade people from buying it for 18 months now!

Sorry they've screwed you over too. I don't know how many more times it's going to happen until people will stop taking the risk, saying "it's only £200, who cares if it's not OEM perfect". Rolling Eyes

The Chinese sellers simply cannot be trusted. I will no doubt be labelled a racist again for that, but it is unfortunately true. We have had issues on here of goods arriving that were not as described, I have had bodywork that was abysmal despite the promises and assurances of the seller, and some non-bike related items I have bought have all been mis-represented (the 4Gb MP3 player that was only a hacked 1Gb item for a Xmas gift being the most annoying!).

I've said it before, but I'm not saying it again...

STAY AWAY FROM THE CHINESE SELLERS. IT'S JUST NOT WORTH IT.

I have yet to buy anything from Yahoo! Japan that wasn't what I expected. Much higher level of integrity from the Japanese sellers.

Andy is right. We have discussed this more than once, always with the same result.

Unfortunatly i bought the MC28 mirrors from Hong Kong....

They look like a 3 year old made them from play dough.....utter crap

Only cost me £16.00 delivered, but they are not worth £2.00.

Perhaps a sticky may be in order for this subject

I think people need to understand that they are getting what they pay for, and sometime lucky with even that. Buying anything on eBay from China is questionable. Hell, buying anything made in China at your local WallyMart is questionable.

if you want good quality painted body work, work with a reputable supplier, and your own local painter.

Even when TYGA was doing painted body work you were not getting a show quality paint job. They were good for the price, but not top quality. Of course their FRP body work is much better then it sounds like the crap coming out of China, but that's not going to take a rocket scientist for figure out.

So No, there is no need for a sticky, people should be smart enough to know this on their own.

They do also show an MC28 upper fairing in their images. I know it's not stated in the description, and it should be, but perhaps that's what they believe is right. I think for the price, it's a pretty good deal, as you can barely get a full fibre fairing unpainted for that in the UK...

I've not seen any GRP bodywork that didn't need considerable finishing before I considered it ready to paint.

Mine turned out fine, needed a little work to get it to fit better, but nothing major. Quality isn't 100%, but you only notice imperfections when you get up close. Maybe I was just lucky.

Took about 3 weeks to arrive, I even emailed them after buying to ask for the single seat rather than the dual seat it was advertised with. No problems at all.

A 3rd party bodykit fitting like a glove on a chickens lip is nothing new and to be fair if you hit "buy it now" on an advert with picture of a bad copy of an mc28 top panel being sold by a guy who has never seen an NSR250 in his life don't be shocked when an bad copy of mc28 top panel drops onto the door mat Idea

I believe OEM plastic body work is perfect....why don't you pay little more to take used OEM set, and repaint it...Or you can go Japan used body work..
This bodywork is what I bought brand new from Japan...fitment is perfect..

That's Silhouette bodywork isn't it Hung? I've heard conflicting stories of it's fitment, but the general consensus seems to be that the quality is very good.
