Fitting the head light into a pattern fairing???? Any ideas?

Hello gents,

Wonder if I can call upon your help please? I have recently bought an MC 21 and it has what I think is after market bodywork but it's plastic rather than fibreglass and in Rothmans colours.
Anyway, the headlight has been properly bodged up and has a screw through the front of the fairing holding the top of the headlight in position. The botton fixings aren't too badly done and I'm happy to leave them.

What I'm wondering is if anyne has had the same problem and is there a way of fixing the headlight from the inside of the fairing so I can tidy up the front?
What I'm thinking off doing is fibre glassing a length of plastic above the position where the light meets the fairing and screwing through the head light surroud and into the piece of plastic. Does that make sense? Confused

Thanks guys

Jason

That makes perfect sense, and is basically how the OEM fairing is, except it's moulded that way.

Sounds like one of those wonderful Chinese fairing kits! Laughing

If you look in the parts manual you'll see the little metal bracket (item 6 - 64216-KV3-950) which screws in to the fairing and holds the light in place. I had a spare light bracket lying around when I fitted my Chinese stuff, screwed it on and it worked great.
