Right but they lay it on thick, then hone it to spec. That is different from taking an old used cylinder and running a hone through it. At least I always thought!

thanks for replies/input/info. i thought honing is a method of finishing, removing imperfections, removing minimal material? assisting in smooth piston movement and the hatches assist in lubrication. When i rebuild my engine i thought this would be a good idea, of course its gotta be within the spec's/limits.
Also is there many members from perth, western aus?
