A very big thanks to Andy for giving me permission to post this.
The boys over in the RGV forum have been getting all excited about trying to establish a 2 stroke production race class here in Melbourne. Things got out of hand and we're now a few steps short of the club being setup.
I'd like to let get a show of (virtual) hands from those that would be interested in the club, either on a social level or a competitive level.
If you would like to be a committee member, help get the club up and running then PM with your contact details (name, email and a phone number), otherwise feel free to reply here on the forum (can we Andy? )
The benefits of this would be the information sharing that would happen, and also the chance of showing the Suzuki boys how much better the Hondas are
We're making great progress with the club, and we're holding our first meeting this Saturday PM me if you're attending by 3pm TODAY if you want to attend and contribute
Ok guys (and ladies if we have any yet).
We have booked a Venue!
Our first meeting will be held at "The Manhattan Hotel" in the Empire Room.
Well, the club is up and running, it's called 2TRV.
As our first club event, we've organised a track day:
Our first event is scheduled for the the 16th of November
At Broadford Motorcycle complex
Cost is $110.00
The day is planned to be a fun day for novices and experienced track riders alike, so don't think that you won't be good enough/fast enough so don't panic, the idea is to get you out on the track.
I need to know how many people wish to go, by the 30th of OCTOBER
Fees can be paid to the club in advance or on the day.
PLEASE REMEMBER, IF YOU SAY YOU ARE GOING WE BOOK YOU IN AND THE CLUB PAYS THE FEE, so if you don't show up or pay the club back it's wasted club funds. We will try it this way the first time, if it works we'll do it again.
However if the club is left holding the bag and out of pocket it will be money up front in the future.
RTIO Pannawonic Mesa J in WA for the next 6-7 months. Usually based out of Melbourne, but they needed a civil engineer so I got the call up. Which one are you at?
Looks like a tidy little circuit. Would love to see some pics of the day. Do you guys get to change the track when you hire it or do you have to use the layout that the stewards give you?
Appreciate that still plugging away at the 21. Have a full tyga bodykit for it and just got a set rvf400 forks to go on it. Doing FIFO on a 2 weeks away and 1 week back in Melbourne so going slow. Thinking Middo has the better schedule lol
Dont know that mine Middo, NSW for me has been the Hunter Valley for coal and Parkes for u/g.
