WTB TPS hold down tab and bolt

Tue Oct 07, 2008 7:54 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Title says it. I'm re-installing my OE carbs and can't find that tab. I don't even know what it looks like. A picture and some measurements might even do it. I could probally make one. If anyone has a spare one and is willing to throw it in a envelope to me I would gladly pay your asking price.

Ive actually safety wired the TPS in place when I didn't have the clip on MC28.

You should be able to fab some kind of tab by looking where the retaining screw goes, and the slot in the TPS body is. I made one out of some spare flat aluminum and it worked okay. It's basically a C shaped bracket that goes around the TPS and holds it in place. Just get some flat aluminum and a rotary tool and you can knock one out in a couple minutes Smile
