i`ve got a mc18 i pulled motor out cleaned everything and put back together now it selecting 1 up 5 down im shore it was 1 down 5 up before i pulled motor pls help

Your've put the gear selector linkage up the wrong way! he bit that bolts on to the spline that changes gears!

You should get use to riding that way if you want because it's how race bikes run it! So that you can change gear while cornering with your foot on top of the shifter rather than on the bottom!

I would leave it and learn it, as WhitebaitNZ said this is called race shift and makes gear change in corners easier. I run all my bikes like this.
