Just putting the nsr together, using MC18 barrels, heads carbs and reeds on an MC16. Standard mc16 pipes and open carbs. Running 128 mains and 34 pilots (could be 35's though?)

Feels a bit rich if anything but am only revving at a standstill. Seems to bog at 7-8k.

Anyone running a similar setup?

We don't talk jetting but I bet its far from rich with that set up.

Reving it in neutral proves what?

I know, I need it under load. Just its not quite ready for riding yet and would like a base setting before taking it down the runway

Ok guys well I have no idea where to be starting from hence my question!

The carbs had 180 mains and it was rough as arses even on the bench.

The standard carbs had 110's in, no idea whats standard on an mc18.

So any rough idea of where to start from? I dont want to have to buy ten sets of main jets, got tons for mikuni's but nothing really for keihin;s.

the technical resources in the workshop section show the base settings for all nsr carbs . depending on what other mods you've done it could be a place to start!
try putting the air box back on it might sort things out!

The ONLY places specific jetting can be discussed are the Setup Forum or HRC NSR Forum in the Members Area.

HRC NSR area is specifically for F3/SS/SP.
