Up for sale is a fully street legal NSR 250 that I have owned for about 5 yrs. and have come to the conclusion that I don't ride it enough to keep it due to my off-road racing schedule using all of my free time.
This bike has had a lot of custom work done to it by its previous owner which includes: Tyga bodywork and custom Marlboro Replica paint job. Powder coated frame, swingarm and rims. Professionally widend rear rim to take a 170 rear tire. Front suspension off of a cbr 954. Front rim, brake calipers and rotors off of a Honda RC51. It has new Michelin Power Pilot tires that I put on about 300-400 miles ago. It is equipped with a top notch Ohlins steering damper. The engine has increased primary compression, match ported cases, cylinders and re-profiled heads.
Engine goodies include Tyga pipes and silencers, helped out by a HRC center plug cylinder head kit, carbon reed valves, HRC stuffers and spacers, HRC carb setting parts, individual filters and Jha heavy duty clutch springs. The "HRC" stands for Factory Honda Racing parts that the Honda factory made custom for the bike to make it even more fun than it was originally! The bikes oil injection system was removed and blocked off so you have to pre-mix the bikes fuel and the engine does require a mix of race fuel or octane booster due to the higher compression (therfore higher performance).
This bike is a blast !! to ride (people have no idea what to make of the two stroke v-twin pipe sound combined with the dry clutch plate rattle- very cool and different sounding) and I really don't want to get rid of it, but I don't get to use it much- so it needs to find a good home and someone with time to ride it. This bike comes with a clear NY state title so its easily registered. There are a couple of things that could be improved with the bike, but nothing mechanical- there are a couple of body imperfections that can be fixed such as the tank has a small dunk on the top surface ahead of the fuel cap due to my friend dropping a motocross boot on it (as luck would have it at least the rubber heel is what made the dunk), there is a crack in the back tail section that occured during shipping from california to here, and there are a couple of minute cracks here and there in the fiber glass body which are easily repaired - and at 3 feet away you would likely not even notice them. The blinker flasher unit is hit and miss occasionally- possibly a weak ground. Other than that the bike runs perfect and is a lot of fun to ride !!
I'm asking 8000 obo. I have some older pics that I will put up for now, but I will get some new pics up soon as I can with the imperfections. Here's a link also to see some more of the older pics.http://www.dreamgate.ne.jp/NSR/bikemonth/mar02.html . If you have any questions my # is 845-220-8599 dave

Looks like Mike D's 21 that he built, I think I remember selling him the HRC jet kit when he was putting it together...it is a *very* well put together 21.
BTW the front wheel is SP1, but those rotors and calipers are 954...
