OK, I've made provisional enquiries for exclusive hire of Llandow one Friday this summer.
I am looking at Friday 22nd May at the moment, which will give 10 weeks notice, or Friday 28th August. These are Bank Holiday weekends (neither of which clash with F250 meetings), so if a dyno day and ride-out were to be held at GT Motorcycles on the Sat/Sun as per the tradition, it leaves Monday clear for the majority to recover from the weekend's excess!
The track day should work out about £67.50 providing we get enough interested. As always, it will be exclusively 2-stroke, although Claire is always welcome to bring her NC29, and naturally if someone's motor decides to pull the plug right before the day, then an alternative bike will be no problem.
This is only a provisional date, so let me hear your thoughts. Speak up now though, as once I decide on a date there will be no messing about. I've spent too much time in the past trying to juggle things around for people that think the world should revolve around them!! _________________ Andy.

I would go for May. The May bank holiday is pretty good on the whole down here. I will just check to see what else I have booked on those dates before I can confirm the dyno etc. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...

mays good, are all makes of stroker welcome?
Yes, of course... the more the merrier. Hoping wb and Martin77 will step up with the Yamaha's, and hopefully elegy with his RGV's/Aprilia. Would be nice to see a KR1S there too... I don't think we've ever had a Kawasaki turn up.
125's, 250's, 350's, 400's, 500's... 750's if you got 'em! Just so long as it's 2-stroke! _________________ Andy.

I'll let others explain its on-track merrits and/or drawbacks, but positives of the track days are that generally there's more track time than most can handle, and it's cheaper than any other track day out there as I don't run it to make a living! (Of course, I don't run it at a loss either though!)
The guys there are very relaxed and 2-stroke friendly, and will run an open pit for the afternoon. They aren't worried about noise either... in fact, they seem to like the noisy bike more! _________________ Andy.

August for me also. I'm not around for the May date.
It sounds like a top weekend prospect, good work Andy.
Hopefully it'll have a good turnout, whichever date goes ahead. _________________ Rich

It doesn't have to be a Bank Holiday weekend. I've only listed those two dates as it gives some a little respite if they have the Monday off! I've yet to hear back from Llandow if those two dates are even available yet too.
It may end up being a weekend in July or early August yet, depending on what available Fridays Llandow come back with.
If it's not one of the Bank Holidays, I will still make sure a weekend that doesn't clash with F250 is chosen. _________________ Andy.

I expect we'll be there as usual....but as a treat we may even bring our pet Kawasaki along
Well 22nd May has been sold. August Bank Holiday weekend doesn't seem overly popular, so considering July 31st or Aug 7th.
If a date is decided upon, then I can start to put something in to place. I will then need confirmed attendance and deposits as I will have to fork out a large sum as a deposit.
Of course, these dates also depend on whether the dyno is available too.
Why do I talk myself into this stuff?! _________________ Andy.
