nsr 250 cdi unit

hi everybody, it's my first time on here,so be gentle with me. I recently bought my first nsr 250, it's a 1987 mc16. One of the cdi units is broken and i'm having great difficulty sourcing another. any suggestions. Also anyone know if mc18 cdi unit fits a mc16 Confused

MC16 and MC18 PGMs are different.
