MC16 Tyres?

Wed Mar 25, 2009 1:41 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi, Just tried ordering some pirelli sport demons for my '16 but they are out of stock! What other tyres do people reccomend for the standard mc16 wheels? Was thinking of BT45's or similar but am hoping to do a few trackdays with it this year so maybe something a bit stickier?

Cheers
Paul

Try M & P for sport demons I bought some for mine not long ago for a good price. Tyre choice for the 16 is rubbish I looked at everything, I think sport demons are the best on offer. Ive never seen bt 45's but my local bike shop told me they were not as sporty as the pirreli's, pirreli also do the mt75 for small sports bikes, might be worth a look. Let us know if you find anything better.

i dont know much about tires but the specifications page says front should be 100/80/17 but what i have on are 120/70/17 i asked a guy at a bike shop and he said it is ok to do this.
I mean if this is ok to do then you have a lot of tires to choose from right?

I put a CBR250 MC19 rear wheel on my 'MC16.

Same looks as the original, but a 17x4.00.
