Shell Optimax & BP Ultimate are high(er) octane unleaded fuel. One is 97 octane, the other 98 (can't remember which way round!).
Either would be a good choice. _________________ Rich

hi and thanks for reply,i use optimax in my car,but as i dont rev/track the bike,i read on hear some body heard bad things about it,the right pipe does sound and feel like its idleing faster than other side, like i said it sounds like its poping, _________________ NSR250 MC18
hi,do you balence them on the centre of the throttle linkage or is there screws on each carb to rase the slide/needle like on most carbs, can this be done by feel/ear _________________ NSR250 MC18
We did some testing on optimax with our land speed record bikes and found no gains with it and infact found looses even after ign and squish etc had been altered to try and make use of it.
The BP Ultimate worked much better even when simple back to back runs were performed.
Of course every engine is different so in some cases it may well be that optimax is better than your standard fuel but in these cases it wasn't _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
