mc16 crank/thrust washers

hi all,i have just measured the wear on the crank,[between conrod and thrust,top conrod was 0.55mm Very Happy ,bottom conrod has only one thrust washer, Shocked ,as you look into crank case its missing from the left,the bottom end shows no sign of it braking up,it does look all good,have the thrust washer fairys taken it Question ,do they only have one thrust washer on bottom, Rolling Eyes

It should have one!

If it wasn't ment to have one the clearance would be the same as the other. I'm guessing that its got 1.5mm odd clearance?

I guess you'll be looking for another crank or having that one rebuilt.

hello stephen,yes your right the trusts are about 1.mm so has approx 1.5mm clearence,these thing only happen to me, Rolling Eyes i will be launching this mc16 lump back at the supplyer,,,,,,,,,,,,good bottom end,straight fit, Evil or Very Mad ,,,,,mmmmmmmmmm were to find an mc18 bottom end,i honestly think ive got more chance of winning the lottery,,,

You and me both - the engine I got from an ex-race bike had been stood and when I stripped it the right hand big end was seized. Water had got in through the reed valve! I now own two knackered MC18 cranks Rolling Eyes

Does anyone know of a previous topic where all of the things you need for a crank rebuild and where to get them are listed (mainly the "where to get them"- know the Workshop has the parts list)
