Honda Museum at Motegi

Been fortunate to visit the track a few times the past months and popped into the museum at the same time Cool

They have an on site restoration department which you can view Cool

All museum exhibits are fully working examples, after restoration they are taken out on the track and tested - wish they would post up a timetable of what's being done and when , some of these machines need to be seen and smelt Laughing

A nice feature through out the museum was headphones with recordings of the various bikes - the six cylinder machines were screamers and hearing that NSR500 motor was ridiculous Razz

I'll split this thread into a couple of parts - I took on near 300 photo's so this is just the two stroke stuff with maybe a few others Wink

Fantastic museum with caring staff that just makes the whole experience so pleasurable Cool

Wouldn't be surprised if Andy or Stephen have a swingarm, like the one on Cadalora's bike, stashed away somewhere... Worth about a gazillion poser points...

"MC21"??!? Not in a million years. More like a Utrahyper NF...

I was going to make my MC21 Track Bike into a Cadalora 1991 Replica, I even sourced a pair of 21SE forks with dark coloured stantions and a RWU NF5 Tripple Clamp / Yoke set. But after buying the NX5, that is now going to be the 'Cadalora Project'. Must admit though, I do like those 'proper' green numberplates on the 91 works NSR.

91 was the last year that each GP class had to run the individual class plate colours.

GP125 - Black. GP250 - Green. GP500 - Yellow.

So in 1992, Cadalora's works NSR250 Cadalora went to Yellow Plates, which still looked OK and matched the 500s. But for me the HB liveried NSRs (Bradl / Romboni) never looked anywhere near as good after dropping the green plates.
