Needing a MC-28 rear rotor

Thu Jun 25, 2009 4:45 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I'm looking for a rear rotor for my MC-28. I've done some searching and calling (Redline and others) here in the US and what I'm finding seems very pricey (US $225+). I wonder if the rotor was specific to this machine or could it have a use on a US model which would make it much more available to me?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

It should have been used on other bikes of the same era. I am almost certain things like CBR250s are the same, if you can see if it's the same as a CBR600F3 of the same vintage, I reckon you'd be on a winner.

nxrsr20,
I am hoping the same thing.
I was also hopeful that someone has already been down this road and might know exactly what other models used the same rotor.
With the part # ( 43251-KV3-950 ) I may be able to start hunting for one that will cross reference.

Did a quick measurement with a '94 CBR600 and the bolt holes are off by 5mm.

I tried to cross reference some part #'s online w/o success. Unfortunately there's not good dealerships around here that would have rotors for other bikes so I can compare.
I once read where GM makes nearly 100 different catalitic converters for their models whereas Honda had 8. I was hoping that same streamlining parts mentality was in effect in their bikes as well. I'm crossing my fingers.

Just went through an EBC list I have and cross refferenced the part number for the rear disk.
Same part number for the RVF400NC35 and VFR400NC30. Other than that no other parts match.
