I have a 1994 MC28SE which has been converted to a Rothman SP - original bodywork and Magteks. Bike is very clean, no work needed and stored in doors for 6+ years. Bike is located in Hong Kong and haven't really had a chance to ride it since I purchased it. Besides, a bike in that condition would be stolen in a second on the streets. Also, got too many cool projects on the go. Specs of the bike as follows:
When I purchased it, it had about 11,000km on the clock (not sure if it's real or not) then swapped my CDI in order to get a 030 HRC card so now the clock reads 20,000km
- so you get the regular card and a HRC 030 card
- Ohlins rear shock
- RVF upside down forks (also have a pair of MC21 SP fork tubes
- Aftermarket rear sets
- Antilon billet brake and clutch lever
- Jha Type - D pipes
Cool parts not installed and will be included:
- Honda RS250 forks with conversion kit and brembo radial brakes + lever
- spare new Crank checked/zeroed by Tyga
- Jha performance parts: first gen airbox, reed kit, clutch springs
- MC21 frame with title which can be used to register the MC28 in Canada
Some other stuff I can't even remember because it's been sitting so long!
Anyways, have some many projects on the go (RGV SP, RGV500, etc...) and I can't ride this thing without it getting stolen. Thinking about selling the whole lot. Any ideas what it is worth? As I said before, bike is clean and in immaculate condition. No time for pictures, but imagine a clean MC28SP
All togeather?
Not as much as seperate and it's hard to say an exact value, ask yourself who's likely to want a tidy Rothmans '28, a pair of RS250 forks and a '21 frame?
The person who buys it is likely to expect to sell the forks for more than you've valued them at.
I'd think for a tidy Rothmans '28 bike in the UK you'll be looking at over £4000 and that will sell.
The rest of the bits are near impossible to value as their target market is tiny, if someone want a crank it's worth £500, on the other hand I got given one by someone who was clearing out their garage.
Maybe someone in Canada looking for a titled '28 with RS forks and a spare crank might have a different view? _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
And I agree 100%... For example here in Greece this bike can't be sold over 2000GBP... There isn't any guy that will give more than that...
Another example is that I bought my MC28 Sp about 800GBP... It was in a bad condition but as Andy told me is still a very good price for an MC28SP...
