MC21 race bodywork search...

Fri Jul 24, 2009 1:41 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I have more track days coming up and don't like risking my original Rothmans body panels. I'd like to pick up some pieces in need of repair or respray so I can get them cheap and hit the track. Anybody have any used bits laying around that could help me out?

Thanks!!

Craig,
I have some OEM stuff lying around. None of it is broken, all lugs are present etc, but have some scratches. I have an RHS lower, RHS side panel, and LHS main panel. Looking for USD$200 + postage. They're not heavy, but a bit bulky.
Scott
PS have you put the decals on yet?

Scott,

How could I have had time to play with stickers when I've been prancing all over town showing off my new leathers?? haha

I think I sent you email about the decals. I'd love to put them on but would like a little advice. Do I need to resend? I probably forgot to cc myself and the email may not have left my outbox.

And about the bodywork, I just might take it. Is it plain white or painted with stickers (I'm not sure how OE bodywork looks). Original panels with scratches would sure be better than twice-crashed junk. You don't have an upper fairing or tail pieces (regardless of condition)?

Maybe I should start a poll on which color scheme to do for the track bike. I'm thinking Lucky Strike!

You guys are awesome. Ever since I was a little kid and saw Mad Max I knew Australia was full of cool people! I'm off to work now but will contact you guys later about this. The next track day is 8/2 so if we settle up soon I MIGHT get the package before that. No big deal if I don't - I'll just take it easy or maybe take another bike.

I remember Itoh in the late '90's so nothing learned here. And they were on Yamaha Roberts team as well .

Suzuki will always be associated with Lucky Strike and RGV's look bad ass with that scheme, NSR's not so much.
