Im working desperatlly to get this thing track ready... I got the wheel swap done, so now Im stting cbr 17'' rear wheel!!1 yeahhhh! Got the for wap done so I have cbr 600rr usd forks tripples and brakes on her. But I have run into another little snag.
The bike runs great, starts easy and pulls hard all the way up to 8000 rpms. The the motor just stops reving.
Any ideas???
TIA Jamie
I'm not sure if this is a common problem encountererd with MC18's, but I'll jump in anyway.
Try checking the windings on the alternator. This occurred with my NS400R and it turned out that the coils were breaking down under load - >7000rpm. When replaced with a re-wound unit, the bike revved as good as new.
