Not a chance, the head angles and mounting points are different. _________________ MC21SP Plaything

The stocker pipes probably won't switch easily. Never tried.
On most after market stuff, the pipes are specific to the model, so no go there either. Not always the case though. Harc pipes for example are actually all MC28. They hit the swingarm on the MC1 right side, but it doesn't concern them, so why should it concern you?!
What exactly is your plan? If you've got a 28 but think that the stocker 21 pipes would work better then you're right to a point. they will give more power, but mainly only because the head pipe has a bigger inlet. 40mm on the 21 compared to 30mm on the 28 (silly restriction). If you want a simple 4 hp then get your rotary grinder out and whizz the ring out to 40mm. Easy job. Fit free flowing silencers onto stock 28 pipes for another 1~1.5 horses. throw them away and fit TYGA's and get another 5 on top of that
What Matt is trying to say is that if you have an MC28, modify the downpipe to liberate a little HP. Your stock MC21 pipes don't have the same restriction as the MC28 pipes. _________________ Andy.

Is he? I read it that the exhaust port on the bike is restricted, not the downpipes, hence the angle grinder...
When I ordered some TYGA pipes for my 21, I was sent 28's by mistake, and they simply will not fit. The head angle was all wrong, and the lug was in the wrong place too. I guess the motor is in a slightly different position? _________________ MC21SP Plaything

"Head pipe", "downpipe", "down tube", call them what you want!

The MC21 and MC28 barrels are interchangeable. Fit '28 barrels on a '21 and your exhausts will still fit.
Changing exhausts is a different matter. It's usually the swingarm that gets in the way. I was under the impression that MC28 race pipes would go on the MC21, however one side would touch the swingarm a little. I guess I will stand corrected on that one. _________________ Andy.

So there's a ring welded to the inside of the pipe? Or is the exhaust port on the head a smaller diameter? _________________ MC21SP Plaything
