No, they don't! Wink

I've got 2 sets with a different prefix and one set that are blank!

Did they come from Honda that way (as in the engine/frame combo)? Or are the engines non standard engines?

I've got engine cases marked not as MC16E.

They came from Honda like that and are part of race kits and HRC kits.

But did you get those engines from Honda as a frame/engine combination in street trim?

Sounds like you got the engine from HRC as race kit part.

You could buy engines alone or as a HRC engine and frame combo'.

Point being that the Honda NSR250's bought at the dealer as a street bike had MC16 numbered engines in the frames.

What you went and bought from HRC could be different.

It was that way for MC18, 21 and 28's

But if you purchased a set of crank cases from your local dealer they would come blank.

If I bought the empty cases from the dealer, then it didnt come as a engine/frame combo on a fully functional street bike.

Standard NSR250's sold through dealers as street based bikes came with MC16 numbered engines. What happened after that is a whole other story. hell, I could have ground off the numbers on both the frame and engine, the point is that standard street bikes bought new came with the MC16 numbered engines.

I agree fully.

But it was stated that all cases are marked MC16E, and they arn't. Even from Honda.

And I would guess replacement stock cases would be blank as well but it has nothing to do with the original question.

Thanks for keeping it on track Charles.
