Lazy bones !

In the time between posting this and you getting up I've fitted a new top end to the LC, offered up the Swarbricks to the RG and had great thoughts about the soon to arrive NS400.

And what a lovely day it is - do I hear couple of NSR's in the distance ??? Twisted Evil

Well, between the time you posted yours and I posted this, I have done 300kms and rebuilt a bottom cylinder! Smile

Yep... it was all going swimingly until about 120kms ago when it destroyed a piston at about 12k in top gear chasing StephenRC45 on his MC18/300! Shocked

Luckily he had a spare MC18 barrel in his garage so I fitted that and gave it a casual 90mph trundle back home to Exmouth. It's running well but the jetting is all to pot again now! Rolling Eyes

Still, gives us something to do over the weekend!

Andy,at last you have fitted something to your nsr that will improve your bhp Laughing.when you get the second 18 barrel on there you will find out just how quick a nsr is.How many poser points do you lose or get for fitting 18 barrels to a 21? Confused what with you and jeff both turning you nsr's into 18's there must be something in what stephen says that 18's are the best. Cool

Go get em wayne! I must admit me and andy were having a great day untill he tryed to beat the might of the MC18 and blow his 21 into bits.

He was having a full on sulk when we took the top off to see what remained of the lower piston and he even refused the offer of the '45 to get home.

Still now its all back togther with a much better developed barrel (the only prob is now that the lone 21 barrel will drag the power back down) we can go out tomorrow again for alittle more 2-stroke fun!

Andy is now firmly infront for the bent conrod award....

Spent the day with andy, we did try and call you binka. His bike is up and running again and seems to be going pretty good. Just needs a little tweeking.
We where up and down doing plug chops along with ride outs then back to plug chops. Was really good fun! The sound of a 2 stoke on full chat comming at you is fantastic! Very Happy

Both myself and andy have had our fair share of disasters frank so we know how you feel. Just when you think all is going well it blows its self into bits. Touch wood thought i never had a single prob with my 250. Though when it was stripped we did find a hair line crack in the barrel so at some stage it would of let go on me.

Man, I've spent the past two weekends getting the bikes ready for next weekends race.

Gor the WR rear sets in, and put them on. Really nice setup I must say. Solid pegs, comes with all the parts for using the brake with a switch, or not. Seems to be good quality stuff.

Swapped out all the rotors on the MC21 with better used ones, swapped out the front calipers with better condition ones (the left front rotor pad pin, stripped out, and I wasn't able to get the pin out even using an easy out).

Waiting for NSR-WORLD brake lines before I bleed the system out. Hopefully should be here this week before I need to pack the trailer Tuesday night.

Got new Rubber on both bikes, everything is all safety wired, so I think I am good to go. Spent a couple hours prepping the new RS250 body work to bring to the painter when I get back from the races next weekend. Going to have the RS and MC21 in matching colors (the MC28 will almost match, just don't have the spare scatch to get three bikes painted).

Also spent yesterday morning sanding down the roof of my van, as the paint had peeled up, and was starting to look like crap. Sanded it down, cleaned it all up with some spirits, taped off the areas for paint, laid down some primer, and then painted it white. Turned out not that bad. From the ground, you cant even notice it. Got a couple other run gutters to do the same on the other side of the van roof, but those arnt as bad, so I can put it off till its a little nicer out.

All in all, a good easter weekend. Just wish it was more then two days, as I got a bunch more crap to do still!

Thanks

Refusal of the 45 was probably (based on previous knowledge of Andreas) because he values his license an big numbers would be too easy on a 45.

Sorry about not being able to get me, I too was setting up motors - the manky LC with another heavily tuned top end after the last one lunched itself for a currently unknown reason. Oh - yeah, it's a 2 stroke, that's why !!!!
Today, I should be around - the sun is shining at the moment so if you are up and around then call. I'll be waiting !!!
