Bike magazine is looking for a NSR250 to take part in a feature.
What do we need? A road legal, great looking bike for a feature. We’d like to put some miles on it, so it has to be in good running order. We’ll supply tyres, make sure it’s running in tip-top condition and it’ll be covered by the magazine’s comprehensive insurance.
We’d need it for about a week in early November – we’d arrange courier pick up and drop off, or you’d be most welcome to drop it off and visit us at Bike HQ.
Now, other than having Chippy Wood take the most beautiful photos of your motorcycle you could ever imagine, and immortalising it within the pages of Britain’s biggest bike magazine, we’d make it worth your while.
If you’ve got a bike that meets the criteria and you’d be up for getting involved, fire an email over to me at khal@bikemagazine.co.uk
While you're there, see if you can twist their arms to cover m4rk79's MC16, StephenRC45's R6K, PaulG's MC21 (if he fixed it!), and... er, anyone left with a really clean stock MC28 anymore?! _________________ Andy.

If they want a modded bike they want Steve's F3 mc21 really. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
It would be really nice to see a decent NSR feature one day!
Even if they only choose one model (preferably not an MC28, purely as it's been done [so badly] many times before!) it would still be nice to provide a line-up with a representitive of each model in OEM guise for a group photo. _________________ Andy.

Leigh could put togeather a very very tidy mc28sp if he tried to.
Are you saying mine is not already tidy....how very dare you!!!
I think any magazine is missing a trick by not featuring a whole collection of NSRs that we could get together of this site, both standard and modified bikes (not sure I would lend some journalist any of my bikes for a whole week though.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. PB promised so much before, and I arranged a great selection for them but they let us down badly.
Next year the MC21 is 20 years old... in a funny kind of way it would be nice to see Classic Bike magazine do a spread on the MC16, MC18's, and MC21, again with standard looking bikes for the spread. It's a shame Jim (CB journo) doesn't still have his MC18. _________________ Andy.

I'd like to thank everyone who's posted, passed this on to other people and emailed me with photographs.
There are some beautiful bikes out there. Keep them coming in - we'll get back to the owners with some more information a bit later this week.
As for keeping overseas forum users informed, I'm not sure what the legal types will say, but if there's any way we can put a PDF or some of the photos of the feature up when the issue afterwards is on sale (we can't put stuff that's current up for free) then I'll investigate it.
Do you have a facility where someone can buy an issue (hard copy) online? What's happened in the past is UK forum members have been good enough to go out and buy copies of a magazine, and then post them off around the world to those who'd like to have an original copy of the article. It would be convenient if you had a way for them to buy an issue direct.
I understand current content cannot be published for free, and I wouldn't allow it anyway. Content on the site from Haynes and Electrex is reproduced with their permission. Maybe it could be reproduced after 6 months or something, or I could buy a licence to the article and we could publish it in the same (Flash) format as our Online English Workshop Manual and your Bike homepage that only Members can access? _________________ Andy.

My MC18's been checked out at Total Traction and it's been dyno'd at 56BHP in standard form with the restrictor wire unplugged. So I'm good to go. _________________ Why do things simply when you can complicate them
