Black or White - Opinions Wanted

Sun Oct 11, 2009 4:42 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi folks,

I'm trying to sort out an MC28 Repsol bike I recently got. As a placeholder, I've ordered the bodywork you see on eBay. It looks surprisingly good, although won't button-up on the bottom due to the massive Tyga GP chambers I've added too Very Happy .

So, what I was wondering was, should I paint the inside of the fairing black or white? I naturally assumed white, but my friends have been pressuring me to go black, saying white would be dirty looking in no time.

I thought I'd poll the experts. What do you guys think?

RZ Rob

Personally, I say black. Much easier to keep tidy, and the OEM Repsol stuff (top fairing anyway) is the Repsol colour, so "dark".

Black won't show any brake dust or oil spatter.

If you go with white, they will eventually become black anyway... Very Happy

I think mine may go back to Repsol... it's a great colour scheme.

Black it is then

Okay folks. Went with black (satin) and never looked back. If definitely darkened the cockpit considerably, but really cleaned up the bike.

The Repsol livery has heritage, but I was always smitten by the Rothmans scheme myself.

Thanks everyone for your opinions.
