MC28 - NC30 swinger swap

Mon Nov 02, 2009 2:21 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Anybody know if the 'wheel hub' and sproket carrier can be exchanged between s.s swingarm on an NC30/35 and an MC28?

Watfordhorn reckons that his MC28 paddock stand won't fit the NC30 swingarm fitted to his RG500. But wondered if the differences were more extensive.

The hub axle size is the same on them all. One paddock stand fits all.

So Stephen do you reckon I could fit the hub, rear brake and bracket on to an MC28 swingarm??

I just checked the parts manual and a few of the bits are marked KV3 and I seem to remember the NC30 rear brake mounts up differently compared to the MC28. The NC30 has a torque arm...... the NSR doesn't.

Its only the brake carrier that's different on a NC30. The RVF (NC35) uses the same system as the MC28.

The hub and bearing carrier are the same.

The inside dia of the axle hub is the same from NC30/35, RC30/45, MC28 etc etc.
