Getting rid of my NSR - I'm doin it wrong

Hi Guys,

Well I didn't get any decent offers on my bike so I knuckled down, saved some money and sent it to the shop to be looked at before I went on my holidays a couple of weeks ago.

I sent along a nice little letter detailing the problems and explaining that there was no hurry as I was away.

When I got back I popped my head in at the mechanic only to find they had not looked at her, thinking they had time before I got back. They told me a few days and then they'd call me.

In the meantime I have managed to find a nice MC21SE that's a little worse for wear and I'll be picking it up cheap this weekend (from Queensland....)

It will be nice to have a whole bike's worth of spares. I'll be stealing the front and rear suspension and the dry clutch to whack on my R model.

I assume everything is bolt on since I have a bike full of spares.

Are there any tips on swapping these items across? Should I rebuild the clutch and or suspension?

Also, are there any other trick parts on an SE that are worth stealing for my R?

Hi Skyntara,

if i recall well the things that are different from the R model are the suspensions, the clutch and the carbs... And all will fit just fine...

Cheers

When swaping the SP gearbox and clutch over, remember that you'll need the primary gear that comes off the crank. The SP and R ones look similar. but are ever so slightly different.

Didn't think the carbs were different??

MC21R have the TA22 Carbs and MC21 SE/SP have the TA22B Carbs... These codes are written on the side of the carbs somewhere...
