Your mechanic is probably looking to extort money from you in the very near future for repairs!

The "OIL" warning is to tell you that you are running low on 2-stroke oil. When this runs out your bike will seize; probably wrecking BOTH barrels and maybe even the crank. Your trustworthy mechanic will then be able to charge you anything upwards of HK$16,000 just in parts to fix it! Shocked

Check the 2-stroke oil tank immediately!

Thanks Andy..

I think I forget to mention..(or missing in my email.) That I don't have a 2-stroke oil tank. which I am using pre-mix method..

So in this case, is the Oil warning.. still means any other potential problems?

On the MC28, if you remove the oil injector system and dont deal with the oil level sensor, you could end up with the oil warning light being on all the time.

If you simple blocked the oil tank, leaving some oil in there and the sensor still hooked up, you could see the warning light every once in a while depending on conditions (bike leaned over and the little bit of oil moving in the tank, etc..).

If your running pre-mix, I wouldn't worry about the oil light.

If you have the oil reserve tank, you can add some fuel to it so the sensor doesn't see it as low.

or you could get an HRC wiring harness that doesnt have the oil sensor on it... or you may be able to short the oil sensor wires to make it think it's not empty (not sure if this will work, but it's worth a try?).
