Really hard to value, loads of money 18 months ago or so but things (private sales at least) seem to be selling a lot slower recently.
Theres a pretty one on Ebay right now, keep your eye on it and it'll give you a general idea of what people are currently willing to pay which if you're buying is far more use than knowing what someone is willing to take.

Now though (i.e. winter) is a good time to buy as prices start to creep up in spring...

I recon £2500-3000 for a mint restored one, but I've seen 2 project ones in Classic Motorcycle Mechanics for around £1200-1500

I've been told they are next for going up in value Wink

I was going to buy one last year in good condition not immaculate for £1500 but after closer inspection the owner had done a bad job of removing ATAC chambers. It did have decent expansion chambers (non stock) but this lead me to believe that it had probably had a hard life and sounded lumpy so I avoided it.

Most aftermarket systems have the atac removed. It's commonly regarded as the NS's Achilles heel, due to the compromised shorted lower pipes. These won't do much for the midrange, but will improve top end a lot.

Another thing to watch out for is spares, they're getting on now, and crank parts, pistons etc are very hard to get hold of. If you want it, it's not the sort of thing you'd thrash around long term. Treat it well. Fun bikes, not much more top end than a good NSR, but way more midrange. Two up was never an issue.

I've just finished a rebuild on one of these.
