I need a swingarm spindle locknut removal tool (for the castle nut) for my MC28. I've seen them on eBay for about £18 + P&P, but wondered if they are avaliable elsewhere in the UK for cheaper.
I have an MC21 one, but it's too small to fit.
Please don't make me reach for the pound hammer and screwdriver........ it'll only end in tears (Andy's not mine - tears of laughter that is!)
if you use a drift that's made of something thats similar in hardness to the aluminium castle nut (or softer) - like a thin piece of scrap aluminium bar for example then you won't hurt anything.
I think its abit like parting the crank cases for the first time when they're abit reluctant to split - you've just gotta be careful but confident.
That said, there's nothing like having the proper tool for the job sat in your tool chest! _________________ After years of moaning about immigrants now i am one...
The proper tool is a socket of the correct diameter with the castles ground off it (into it?) with and angle grinder. _________________ MC21SP Plaything
