Is there anyone in the sydney areawho would be willing to part with a dry clutch system... worn or good doesnt matter.
I need this as I am designing/fabricating a new dry cltch for my cbr250rr and i need to take measurments etc etc.
I know this clutch is of a pushrod design... but my plans will be to have the mechanism on the outside as oposed to using a pushrod. How do you think that will pan out?
so yes... anyone got any wrecked clutches? or half and engine would be better.
any help is appreciated.
Also... can anyone tell me what the difference is in compound with the wet clutch material and dry clutch material? are there companies that can custom make those clutch rings? _________________ 1991 CBR250RRL mc22 modified.
But looking at your link it needs to be a .jpg not a .pnd. Not sure what sort of image file that is.. _________________ More **** two strokes than you can shake a **** stick at.
Sounds like a bit of an engineering project this one! You doing it just for the experience? _________________ MC21SP Plaything

I got some dry clutch plates (corks and metals) I can send up if you want to cough up for postage.
I have MC18 cases lying around too, no one seems to want them! If you do a search, the main casings on a wet/dry clutch aren't that different, it's just a few side bits and primary drive.
i rekon i need the dry casing... so I can see the seal and where it sits on the clutch assembly. I was thinking about chopping up the cover and using that as a weld on for my cbr cover with abit of metal bridging where nessicary.
im wanting to do a detail design on this and fully spec it up before I make it... so im going to try and need all the main parts before I start.
The hub you are referring to is the same clutch basket? inner or out? The outer basket is different. Got ones that are no longer serviceable that you can grab (if I haven't thrown them out!)
