I'm trying to get my bike back together after replacing the shift shaft. I have a small problem.

When I removed the clutch basket, I did not check for the white mark on main drive gear. I didn't even think about it at the time. If I did check for the mark I would have noticed that there was no white mark to be found. Since I didn't check, I was unable to make my own mark. I do have a mark on the basket.

How can I make sure the two gears are in the right position?

Never mind. After the fourth or fifth search I found the answer in an old post.

I will slap it together & not worry about the marks.
