Identifying HRC parts

Tue Feb 23, 2010 12:41 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I PM'd Stephen about this, but maybe some of you have these bits sitting close to the computer desk and could snap some photos here and there quickly. My reason for asking for help in identifying HRC parts is that over here in the states it's rare enough to see an NSR; HRC parts are few and far between. My SP was advertised as having several items, including reed stuffers, jet kit, and delimiter. I have my doubts about the "delimiter" because I think I've read that if it had that my lights wouldn't work (?).

Anyway, if we could get a discussion/group of photos going showing a stock part compared to it's HRC or F3 upgrade, that would be great. I'm especially interested in finding out how my carbs are set up, so detailed pics/discussion on that first would be extremely helpful as I have 2 bikes and want to put the go-fast stuff on my track bike. After I roll it up into a ball I can put it all back on the SP. lol

Thanks

Thank you.

An HRC box will not fit a stock MC21 harness.

Neither should it have "a heap of conectors".
So, what actualy happened is rather than cut one wire on the PGM-III (the wire splice), what someone had done is cut a whole load and spliced in part of the HRC mc21 loom.
The loom and a few other bits (jet kit, airbox) are part of the SS/SP racing kit and aren't really that rare.

The rare stuff is the F3 stuff, the F3 PGM-II, loom, crank, stator, cases etc. In general these can be identified by the fact they don't fit/work on their own and they don't have KV3 in the part number.

Now if you put that kitchen, living room, airing cupboard and garage together - what a bachelor pad!

Hi Si

Yes mate, it's my wet bike for this season.

Here is a link to the 2010 dry bike. I can't seem to load my photos in the NSR-World owners garage as the resolution is too high:

http://s431.photobucket.com/albums/qq36/GeckoRacing74/Joey%20Dunlop%20NSR250%20F3%20hybrid/

I have spent 4 years developing this bike now, so like a 20 year old broom which has received 5 new handles and 7 new heads, it can hardly be called the same bike.... but it still shares the orginal crank cases from my MC28, so its related still.

Here's hoping for a great 2010 season.

Cheers

Dan

Yes, same colours for this season - I think it looks like Joey Dulop colours and the NSR-World sticker will hopefully drive some web traffic.

Ahh, if you owned the tank, then Wayne owes you a drink....

Cheers

Yeah, it was supposed to get the black wings on the fairing and tank too, just to finish it off. Did you have the complete chassis or just the bodywork?
