Never hurts to sling a new set of rings in! I usually go through 2 or 3 sets of rings to a set of pistons, to give you a rough idea. (Usually 2 sets.) _________________ Andy.

If you remove the exhausts and have a look up the port you might be able to see some blow by past the rings. If you do then the rings would be worthwhile changing. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...

I've just re-ringed my bike and measured 1000kPa (145psi) on each cylinder (at sea level). I think you should get a new set of rings. It will only make you smile
