MC16 race fairings

Tue May 04, 2010 10:03 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi, I've been hankering for a while now to make my '16 look a little more 'period', and yesterdays tumble has provided me with the perfect opportunity due to the rs250 fairings being a bit beyond repair..

So I'm looking for something a bit more fitting for the forgotten era, mc16 race fairings don't seem to be that widely available (if not at all..)

So maybe something off an early rs250? Like this:

I have that exact set for mine, as well as the HRC stuff, but finding a screen is proving difficult for the RS fairing. Confused

I'm really torn between a full "HRC book" look (an '87 version of Steve's '91), a replica of the RS in the MC16 brochure, and painting it like Mark Browns Freddie rep in the gallery! Choices choices! Rolling Eyes

Cheers Andy and Jay, I'm torn of what to do. I seem to be crashing a lot this season so unsure if I should spend so much on some bodywork, think the airtech stuff will be quite dear to the door!

I'm looking at getting some made using moulds made with the old mc16 bodywork, least it'll be cheap to replace after another crash..

Personally I like period style. I'd go with either early RS or MC18 body work over newer style.

We need a good "drool" icon! I hope you can get it looking something like this.

Same, I only used the rs stuff as it was available at the time!

Plus it'll stop rs racers coming over to harass me for spares..

Craig, nowhere near that clean for me Laughing Laughing
