No real secret. Either cut the back of the airbox lid off like I did - gets you a big square opening, or get a one inch (25mm) drill bit and drill four holes in the lid wherever you choose - two either side of the central web, two on the sides, up to you really. _________________ MC21SP Plaything

We've found 4 smaller holes in the front face (the sloped part) of the airbox lid tends to produce the best results. You can also always tape off two of the holes if it gets a bit cold to richen the mixture a little if needs be.
Cutting the back off the lid makes the induction noise substantially louder, which while it should, is not to everyone's liking. _________________ Andy.

If you're worried about the effect of drilling a few holes in the airbox, best you leave it bog stock and go find a bigger bike that doesn't need modification! _________________ Andy.
