I have just reassembled my 28. Am new to the 28. took it for its first ride and it cut out after about 300m. I kick it over it fires for a split second then dies. The error led lights up then goes away and the speed goes to 188 then 0.
Does anyone have any ideas? _________________ 94 mc28 SE
When I first got my 28 the battery was so flat the PGM unit wouldn't even light up and there was not a hope in hell of getting it running. So I would definitely put a new battery in and see how it goes.
When the batery of an MC28 is empty, there is no way in Hell it is going to start. But with the older models its no problem.
I had it on a nice sunny sunday. Pulled out my MC28 the garage the ***** batery dead!! I putted the batery into my MC21 and let it ran for 5 minuts. Putted the batery back into my MC28 and it worked fine!!

If you leave a spliced MC28 for any time always best to disconnect the battery. Got through a few batterys on my track '28 before I realised I needed to do this. Possibly running the HRC loom didn't help.
I keep my NSR battery on a Batteryminder Plus if it's going to sit for a little while. It can also bring back a partially screwed up battery after a few days (one that has sulfation). The key is to get a battery charger that is made for AGM batteries. Some of those cheapie chargers (at Harbor Freight tools for example) MAY cause problems.
