hey guys still having dramas with my bike i have redone the carbs set the floats to about 13mm using veriner calipers. New fuel filter after cleaning the tank
Now i defienlty have spark have ignition testers inline defietly have fuel filter is full crack the bottom bowl drains and constant fuel running, the reeds look brand new after reading 80xars thread on page 2 mine are all shinny clean awesome looking they where sealed on tight
i kick it revs and then nothing its like hitting the kil switch, ok thats strange i kick it again same again over and over
Have you tried bump starting the bike? This turns the engine over for a lot longer period than a kick. _________________ MC21SP Plaything

might take you an hour or so, but i'd remove the kill switch assy. pretty easy, screw here/there, and unclips in side the box near the servo. renew a large portion of the wire, might just solve the issue.
The wire is constantly being stretched when turning. and its probably old and may be broke, but intermittently makes contact...
If nothing else, youve eliminated another possible problem _________________

Or wasted a bunch of time on something unrelated! By all means check whether the kill switch is shorting to chassis, but I personally wouldn't randomly rewire the bike on the off chance! _________________ MC21SP Plaything

i wouldnt go that far, it is only 2 wires. If i had to, i could probly do it again in 15 mins... _________________
Have you checked the battery voltage is good? Anything over 12.5Volts is good, anything over 13.5 volts is not good.
When you have the bike in neutral and you turn the key to on, does th neutral light light up?
Checked all your fuses?
I have no ideas what inline ignition testers are, but are they reducing spark voltage too much?
Rather than replace it straight away, you'll know if the kill switch is causing the issues when you unplug it and short it out on the loom and the try and start it. If it starts, you've got an open circuit.
i charged the battery but havent check the voltage no,
the neutral light is on with ignition on and i have diconnected the kill switch n tried to start it but nothing i was gonna bridge the harness but there are more then 2 wires coming from the kill switch

I see what you're saying but it's a lot of work. However just bypassing both the igniiton switch and kill switch with a couple of short wires with a spade connector at each end could be worth doing.
Both plugs are in the little box above the RC servo;
The two you need to short out for the ignition are obvious (there's ony two wires on that plug, one is red the other is red/black).
The two that are for the kill switch are diagonal to each other, if you guess it wrong you'll turn the brake light on.
Just pull both connection blocks apart, make up a couple of short connectors with the right ends on and plug them in. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
How do you start the bike? By this I mean do you twist the throttle as you do it?
It may be that your idle circuit is not working, but you're twisting the throttle enough for the motor to catch, but then releasing it and closing off the extra air / fuel... _________________ MC21SP Plaything

ok i disconnected and bypassed the stop switch no difference but i do crack the throttle when kicking it, how do i test it or bypass the idle circuit is it something to do with the sensor on the throttle shaft
