I wanted to thank you for your amazing help. I have an MC28 Repsol which I bought new in 1996 in Singapore. It has only 400 Km and now I imported in the USA.
Thanks for your great help. Your on line parts manual is so cool and thanks for the great help of CMS ( I truly recommend them highly, they have an amazing part search system, and shipped me the complete faring, and a set of many hard to find parts for my RT3). I could not have done without NSR WORLD and CMS!!!
Question: How do i remove the pins and retaining washers that hold the windscreen from the fairing. I would like to reuse the old screen. Do I cut them/drill them out to remove them? I got a new set of pins and washers to replace them.
Many thanks to all of you.

My screen is held in with screws, so I'm not sure how yours is attached. Can you post a picture? _________________ MC21SP Plaything

They are straight pins put in from the outside, with a one way, cone disk washer placed from the inside. I don't know if there is a tool to pry them out, or they are drilled out once installed. _________________ MATT ASINARI

I searched on line for CMS and found www.cmsnl.com but did not find any parts listings for NSR250. What is the website address for CMS? Thanks.
Welcome. As a recent NSR owner and new to NSR-WORLD it is good to see there is another NSR owner not too far away. I live in SE MA. Is yours for road or track?

If they are what I suspect they are, then the centre pin pushes in which releases the grip of the outer part, which can then be removed.
Sometimes that centre pin is retained, sometimes they push all the way through so be prepared to catch them! _________________ MC21SP Plaything

These sound like star lock washers holding the screen on similar to those used on the rvf 400. These can be removed by carefully prising them off with a small flat screwdriver. Dont fancy trying to drill them out..
If you have a new set, then no problem with trashing the old ones. I use a sharp pair of small side cutters and cut the aluminium pin as close to the "washer" as possible, then gently prising it off.
_ Cangus, thanks. Yes, it is www.cmsnl.com since they are in the Netherlands. They do not have a section on NSRs, but if you type in the parts #s, they have the best hit rate. They carried and sent every single item i requested, and every single part ever really hard R3T Repsol were on their list. The others recognized some, but not some really hard ones.
I have the bike near Limerock. It is an R3T with only 300 miles from new. I ride it on the road! It is totally stock, but I have Ethos pipes new that I bought in Japan. But the bike will need to be re-jetted. I am going to keep it totally stock, keep riding it for lots of fun and make it a showbike. I I ride a CBR 1000RR Repsol and an R1 to get big power. Still the NSR is my favorite of six bikes I have
_ Dave, thanks much appreciated. I know those. They are on the bigger Honda. These are fixed pins. They are what Brian and Middo said. It will cut them off at the stem, and pry the lock washers.
Thanks to each and all of you guys. Truly much, much appreciated!!!
Will post pics of the bike as soon as I can _________________ MATT ASINARI
