Specialist tools...

Sat Apr 09, 2005 12:37 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

We are considering a "Rental Programme" for some of the more specialist tools required for the NSR engine rebuild, as the tools are often quite expensive and more often than not, something you would only ever use once! (Unless your name is Stephen or Luke!) Smile

Tools included would be things like a torque wrench converter to tighten the lower cylinder nuts, a flywheel/clutch holder, RC Valve extractor, flywheel puller, etc.

A rental fee and also a refundable deposit could be paid via PayPal, then the tool/tools would be posted to you for the duration of the job (on a weekly basis for example), then the tools would simply be posted back to NSR-WORLD.COM.

Please indicate if you think this system would be useful, and if you would SERIOUSLY consider using it, in the poll.

We could probably make a kit available for rent in both the UK and the USA.

Please also post comments and ideas to the thread.

Top idea Andy. Maybe listing some of the purchase prices would persuade people the benefits of a rental system.

I'd rather buy them off you to be honest.

Laughing

Thanks Clarkie!

I was going to add that as the third option, but didn't want to sound presumptuous!

Yeah, I would be willing to buy a complete toolkit of the specialty items. Something like a torque wrench I can always source locally.

The tool kit would be the various parts LESS the torque wrench!

I'd expect even the most heathen of owners to have access to a torque wrench!

Pretty much take that as a no then!

Still, you never know until you ask. Smile
